Ryerson Green Campus Initiative

The Ryerson Green Campus Initiative is inspired by the Harvard Green Campus Initiative, which has made fantastic strides since its establishment in 2000 and made the Harvard campus the 6th greenest in the world. Ryerson University influences generations of students whose future behaviors and decisions are shaped by what they learn from their experience on campus and the actions of the University’s leaders. The intention of this group is to raise student awareness and garner student support in order to put pressure on the administration to make more responsible decisions and establish a sustainability office. Issues we intend to address include but are not limited to power consumption, power production, material selection, food services, waste management and building operations.
