"About: The chemistry club is a school organization that any student who has an interest in chemistry or other sciences may join. Students can expand their minds by attending the monthly Virginia Section of the American Chemical Society dinner/lecture series. The club has sponsored many events such as speakers open to the public, Chemistry for Kids events, and annual chemistry awareness weeks. They have also worked with the ACS on National Chemistry Week at both the college and at the Science Museum of Virginia.
Goal: To bring environmental awareness and the effects of global warming to the community as well as show support to the cause by helping ongoing campaigns related to renewable energy, transportation, and recycling."
