"About: We're the Environmental Action Club, and we are going to make the University of Memphis a green campus! All over TN, students are paying for Green Power on their campuses, and we are going to push the U of M to do the same this semester! GREEN POWER!
Goal: Our campaign this semester is to host a student-wide referendum to approve a $20 environmental initiatives fee (this amount was determined by a survey of 500 students). Half the money will go toward buying wind and solar power from the TVA Green Power Switch and half will go toward sustainability projects on campus. The money will be administered according to an implementation plan that will be co-authored with the SGA, hopefully before the referendum takes place this April."
