"About: We are a student organization committed to raising LMU's awareness of local environmental issues and creating a sustainability initiative on campus. We are united in attempt to create change right here on campus that will increase the university's energy effeciency in all aspects. We volunteer for the Ballona Wetlands Land Trust's Stewards workday and will also go on fun hiking trips!
Goal: We have many short and long-term goals which include: to raise the university's awareness of local environmental issues, create a sustainability initiative on campus, create an LMU Environmental Committee comprised of students, faculty, and administration, incorporate environmental responsibility into the LMU mission statement, get all new buildings to be LEEDS certified, acquire a grant to buy a Vermitech for cafeteria food waste, pressure the university to become an AASHE member, and ban styrofoam on campus."
