"About: 2020 Vision's mission is to involve students in helping to reduce our oil dependence and to mitigate global warming, while improving national security. We take action at the local and national level to promote energy and security solutions. It is time to break our addiction...to oil!
Goal: Our campaign goal is to convince the city of Honolulu to extend the proposed mass transit (Honolulu High-Capacity Transit Corridor Project) to serve the University of Hawai`i at Manoa area. We want to include UH-Manoa on the rail route, in which the route would span from West O`ahu in Kapolei to UH-Manoa during phase 1 of the project. Our campaign goal is to convince the city of Honolulu to extend the proposed mass transit (Honolulu High-Capacity Transit Corridor Project) to serve the University of Hawai`i at Manoa area. We want to include UH-Manoa on the rail route, in which the route would span from West O`ahu in Kapolei to UH-Manoa during phase 1 of the project. Furthermore, 2020 Vision at the University of Hawai`i at Manoa wants to transform our campus to use 100% clean energy such as implementing school policies for 100% clean vehicle purchases, to establish a student shareholder_s resolution committee to focus on UH-Manoa_s endowments (for green investing), and to improve The Bus of Honolulu by switching to hybrid-electric buses."
